Teacher candidates need to apply for admission to the College of Education during the second semester of their sophomore year. Transfer students must attend one semester to establish the minimum 2.75 GPA for admittance. (See Admission Procedures) Requirements (39 credits):
Courses should be taken in this order whenever possible to complete the program in a timely manner. Elementary Education block (15 Credits)
Student must be admitted to the College of Education and Human Development Professional Teacher Education Program, taken all required elementary education courses and passed the Praxis Elementary Education Content Knowledge. Students must apply for the Block Program one semester prior to admission to Block courses. Student Teaching (12 Credits)
