Exercise Science
The Exercise Science degree is designed to provide students with knowledge and training that qualifies them for additional education through graduate studies and prepares them for careers related to the fitness, wellness, and sport industries. Pre-allied health science, pre-physical therapy and physician assistant students may find this a viable undergraduate major. Other careers pertaining to this degree include: personal trainers, health fitness specialists, program directors, and fitness coordinators. Those wishing to teach and coach in the public schools should enroll in the Teaching/Coaching program to ensure proper progress toward obtaining teaching licensure.

University Requirements
NOTE: As of 7/12/2019, students pursuing this bachelor’s degree are no longer required to complete the Experiential Education Requirement courses for graduation.
Experiential Education Requirement - EDGE (1-3 Credits)
Complete One Track:Original Project Track (3 Credits)
Students create a project of their own design Select Project Track (2 Credits)
Students select a project from the designated list Degree Requirements
BS Degree — Math or Science minimum requirement (12 credits) Exercise Science Course Work (35 credits)
Note
**Must either take the class or have current card of completion at graduation. Core Elective Courses (9 Credits)
Choose 9 credits from the following:
Total Course Work for Exercise Science: 44 Credits
Course Electives from other programs or departments: 40 credits
Other Electives (includes completing B.A./B.S. requirement) 40 credits
Total Credits, B.S. degree: 120-121
