Program Learning Outcomes
- Ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- Ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
- Ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
- Ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
- Ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.

Program Information
- Students must earn a minimum overall 2.5 GPA in Engineering major courses to graduate.
- Students who have completed 20 credits of Engineering major courses must maintain a major GPA of 2.5. If a student’s major GPA drops below 2.5, then the student has a one-semester probationary period to raise the major GPA above 2.5. If the major GPA is still below 2.5 after the probationary period, the students can retake Engineering courses to raise the major GPA but cannot take any other Engineering classes until they are off probation.
- Students must attempt the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination.

Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Degree Requirement (12 Credits*)
- Bachelor of Science Degree - Math or Science minimum requirement 12 Credits
* Note: A portion of the B.S. requirements may be met by fulfilling the General Education Core and Knowledge Areas. Because of this, these credits are typically not counted in the degree total at the bottom of page. Some students majoring in non-science fields may need additional math/science courses to reach the minimum 12 credits. Consult your Student Success Advisor for details.
