Program Learning Outcomes

Understand the interdisciplinary nature of feminist and gender scholarship.
Learn major feminist theories, debates, and methodologies.
Learn to analyze issues pertaining to women and gender issues from multi-cultural, intersectional, and transnational contexts.
Critically analyze how gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity/cultural background, social class, nationality, and citizenship intersect and create different experiences for different groups of people around the world.
Recognize the roles and ramifications of human/women agency and activism locally and globally.
Learn to reflect and interpret everyday lived experiences from feminist and gender perspectives.

Program Information

All courses must be passed with a “C-” (1.7) or better to be counted in the minor.
Other courses may be substituted; student should meet with the appropriate faculty, chairs, and/or deans to seek approval for a substitute course.
