Program Learning Outcomes
A successful student will:
- Exhibit foundational kinesiological knowledge and an ability to utilize practical tools with which to cultivate healthy movement/dance practices.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the historical, physical, and sociopolitical development of dance as an art form.
- Demonstrate a beginning-level proficiency in multiple disciplines, an intermediate-level in few, or an advanced-level in one.
- Exemplify an understanding of movement/dance’s relevance and universality, inherent social and cognitive health benefits, as well as its constitutive power as a catalyst for change.
Program Information
- To qualify for technique classes that are level III or above requires a placement audition or Departmental approval regardless of minor status.
