• COMM 1010 - Introduction to Communication 3 credits
• COMM 1310 - Thinking & Listening Critically 3 credits
• COMM 3810 - Advanced Presentations & Speaking 3 credits
• COMM 4010 - Persuasion 3 credits
• COMM 4502 - Political Communication 3 credits

One of the following:

• COMM 2150 - Intercultural Communication 3 credits
• COMM 3150 - Nonverbal Communication 3 credits
• COMM 3850 - Organizational Communication 3 credits

Requirement

• COMM 4890 - Internship in Communication 1 to 9 credits (Internship at either the SUU Speech & Presentation Center or in an approved speech/writing situation) *
• * Students must receive at least 3 credits for COMM 4890 to meet Certificate requirements.
• Students must graduate in one of the three emphases in Communication in order to receive the Writing Certificate.
