University Requirements
NOTE: As of 7/12/2019, students pursuing this bachelor’s degree are no longer required to complete the Experiential Education Requirement courses for graduation.
Experiential Education Requirement - EDGE (1-3 Credits)
Complete One Track:Original Project Track (3 Credits)
Students create a project of their own design Select Project Track (2 Credits)
Students select a project from the designated list Elementary Education Curriculum Requirements
Teacher Candidates must be admitted to the Initial Teacher Education Program to take the following courses (See Admission Procedures) Requirements (39 credits):
Courses should be taken in this order whenever possible to complete the program in a timely manner. Elementary Education block (15 Credits)
Student must be admitted to the College of Education and Human Development Professional Teacher Education Program, taken all required elementary education courses and passed the Praxis Elementary Education Content Knowledge. Students must apply for the Block Program one semester prior to admission to Block courses. Student Teaching (12 Credits)
Area of Concentration/Specialization (15-24 Credits)
Select an Area of Concentration/Specialization from the following:
- (21 credits)
- (16 credits)
- (15 credits)
- (18 credits)
- (15 credits)
- (14 credits)
- (24 credits)
- (credits vary)
Note
Students are strongly encouraged to consult their advisor before making course work selections. Total Credits, B.S Degree: 131-149
Total credits may vary depending on the Concentration/Specialization selected. |
