Experiential Education Requirement - EDGE (1-3 Credits)


Complete One Track:

Original Project Track (3 Credits)


Students create a project of their own design 

Select Project Track (2 Credits)


Students select a project from the designated list 

Select one of the following emphases:


General Agriculture Emphasis (17 Credits)


In addition to the core, students will select a minimum of 17 semester credits to meet a specific interest or career goal. That goal may not be satisfied by emphasis areas above. Examples might include agriculture journalism, natural resources, GIS/GPS, or international agriculture. The program must be approved by an advisor, department chair, and the dean.

Open Elective Courses (39-42 Credits, 5-8 upper division)


Total Credits, B.I.S. degree: 120 (40 upper division)


Note


Students are strongly encouraged to consult their advisor before selecting coursework. Some courses are only taught one semester per year or every other year. Also, note that a grade below “C-” will not fulfill degree requirements.
