Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C” (2.0) or better to be counted in the major.
- Transfer students must earn at least 50% of their art credits from SUU.

Students’ total free elective credit is determined by their General Education courses taken, degree type selected (if applicable), additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. Some students and/or programs may not have any free electives. For a bachelor’s degree, students must earn - A minimum of 120 total credits;
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in both SUU coursework and combined transfer/SUU coursework;
- 40 upper-division credits , 20 of which are earned from SUU (students may need to select additional upper-division courses not included in their major requirements in order to reach this minimum 40); and
- 30 credits completed through SUU.

Recommended Electives
The following courses are recommended electives for students who have extra credits: Program Learning Outcomes
- Identify and evaluate processes by which user experiences (UX) and user interfaces (UI) are designed in professional settings; apply these processes effectively to specific design opportunities.
- Demonstrate proficiency in production research, user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, product prototyping, information architecture, UX research, usability, user testing, and current technologies and applications.
- Effectively apply aesthetic principles to the design of UX and UI.
- Evaluate the social impacts of existing technologies through ethical, historical, and cultural contexts; identify biases and apply best practices for addressing issues of equity and belonging in the design of interactive projects.
- Demonstrate skills in professionalism: interpersonal communication, time management, and self-presentation.
