Program Summary
The Associate of Pre-Engineering (APE) program is designed for students who have not decided on an engineering major or who plan to complete the first two years of their engineering education at Southern Utah University and then transfer to another institution to complete an engineering degree.
Program Information
- The student must complete a total of at least 68 credit hours selecting classes as indicated below. If continuing at a different school, it is highly recommended that students carefully study the course requirements of the institution where they intend to finish their degree to insure maximum applicability of coursework.
- Students are strongly encouraged to work closely with a faculty mentor and their Student Success Advisor in their major emphasis area, both at initial registration and throughout their program experience.
- This program requires the completion of multiple math courses, starting with MATH 1210 - Calculus I . Students who are not prepared for these math courses may need additional math credits/preparation, which may affect time to graduation. Please consult your Student Success Advisor for more information.
