Program Summary
Software development is an in-demand and high-paying field and is an ideal career path for driven individuals with technical aptitude. This certificate in software development is designed to teach the technical skill set and provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge to confidently move forward in the world of software development.
VR creates an entire digital environment, a 360-degree, immersive user experience that feels real. In a VR setting, students can interact with what they see as if they were really there. In addition to providing students with immersive learning experiences, other benefits of virtual reality in education include the ability to inspire students’ creativity and spark their imaginations.
Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C-” (1.7) or better to be counted in the certificate.
- Credits older than 10 years must be approved by the CSCY Department Chair before being allowed to count towards the major due to the rapid change in the industry.
Certificate Completion
This certificate program must be completed in conjunction with a degree program. The certificate will be awarded at the same time as the degree program and cannot be earned independently of a degree.
