Program Learning Outcomes
A successful student will:
- Demonstrate a beginning-level proficiency in multiple dance disciplines, an intermediate-level in few, or an advanced-level in one.
- Analyze the historical, physical, and sociopolitical development of dance as a global art form.
- Employ basic principles of improvisation and composition as tools for choreography.
- Apply basic knowledge of human movement and anatomy to dance practice.
- Possess working knowledge of one or more advanced topics related to the dance field: teaching methods, music fundamentals for dance, dance history, or dance kinesiology.
