Program Information
- To qualify for technique classes that are level II or above requires a placement audition or Departmental approval regardless of minor status.

Dance Minor Curriculum (18 Credits)
Required Courses (5 Credits)
Theoretical Electives (3 Credits)
Complete 3 credits from the following: Physical Practice Electives (10 Credits)
Complete 10 credits from the following: Program Learning Outcomes
A successful student will: - Demonstrate a beginning-level proficiency in multiple dance disciplines, an intermediate-level in few, or an advanced-level in one.
- Analyze the historical, physical, and sociopolitical development of dance as a global art form.
- Employ basic principles of improvisation and composition as tools for choreography.
- Apply basic knowledge of human movement and anatomy to dance practice.
- Possess working knowledge of one or more advanced topics related to the dance field: teaching methods, music fundamentals for dance, dance history, or dance kinesiology.
