Program Summary

The Construction Cost Estimates (AAS) degree helps students prepare and estimate construction budget costs by studying plans and specifications. Project success and contractor profitability commence with accurate estimates. Students evaluate offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and cost changes. They can resolve cost differences by analyzing and collecting information and writing and presenting budgets, reports, and project plans. The construction project estimator is one of the most important people in the contractor’s organization. In this innovative course, students will become acquainted with building construction, cost estimating, and hands-on experience in cost estimate preparation. This course will prepare graduates to earn the Certified Professional Estimator certification from The American Society of Professional Estimators.
