Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C-” (1.7) or better to be counted in the minor.
|
Messaging and Human Interaction Minor Curriculum (21 Credits)
- COMM 1010 - Introduction to Communication (can be used to fulfill General Education Humanities Breadth Area) is required for all Communication minors.
- A minimum of 21 credit hours, including COMM 1010, must be taken to satisfy a minor.
- Of the remaining 18 credit hours, a minimum of 12 credit hours must be from the core or required courses for the emphasis and 12 credit hours must be upper-division (3000-4999)
Program Learning Outcomes
- Professional Application: Students make connections among concepts to synthesize and transfer their learning to new, complex situations that apply to professional and industry practices.
- Message Development: Students strategically and responsibly apply appropriate technologies to explore, create, collaborate, and organize messages in a digital context.
- Presentation Skill: Students will be able to research, organize, create, and present relevant messages to inform, persuade, entertain, or build rapport with selected and specific audiences.
