Program Summary
The BFA in Painting/Drawing/Printmaking is a professional fine arts degree for students seeking a career as professional studio artists selling their work through a gallery, online, or from their studios. It is also for students who want to continue their education by seeking a post-baccalaureate degree (Masters of Fine Art), which prepares them to teach at the university level.
Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C” (2.0) or better to be counted in the minor.
- Transfer students must complete at least 50% of their art credits at SUU.

Total elective credit is determined by General Education courses taken, degree type selected, additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. For a bachelor’s degree, students must earn a minimum of 40 upper-division credits (courses numbered 3000-4999).
