Program Summary
The Illustration Minor teaches students to communicate ideas through images. Course offerings incorporate a range of curricula, including drawing, concept illustration, visual development, and narrative illustrations. Students work with faculty from various areas to cultivate skills, critical thinking strategies, conceptual clarity, and originality. Studio practice is complemented by research and analysis of art and illustration history.
Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C” (2.0) or better to be counted in the minor.
- Transfer students must earn at least 50% of their art credits from SUU.
