Program Summary
The Department of Aviation Sciences at Southern Utah University offers a Certificate of Completion in Fixed-Wing and Rotor-Wing platforms. Students complete 30-34 credits to complete this certificate. Students complete 9-13 credits of General Education, and 21 credits of core classes leading to the Certified Flight Instructor Rating (CFI) in either Fixed-Wing or Rotor-Wing platforms. General Education Requirements (9-13 Credits)
For this Certificate of Completion, 9-13 credit hours are required in the following areas:
- One course in the Written Communication (English) core (ENGL 1010 , ENGL 1010E , or ENGL 2010 )
- One course in the Quantitative Literacy (Mathematics) core
- One course from the Humanities Knowledge Area (minimum of 3 credits)
