CCET 1040 - Introduction to Residential Architecture using AutoCAD

3 credits

An introductory course in residential architecture to apply drafting standards & terminology using CAD technology to prepare plans for the construction industry using AutoCAD. Topics include; The fundamentals of AutoCAD, Architectural Careers; Construction Procedures, Teams, & Prints; Conventions & Procedures; 2D Sketching; CAD Applications; Architectural Symbols; Floor Plans; Foundations; Wall, Stair & Cross Sections; Roofs; Elevations; Site Plans; and Electrical Plans.  (Fall, Spring)
