CHEM 3510 - Biological Chemistry

This course will cover the three-dimensional structures and stabilities of nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates, and will introduce the catabolic and anabolic processes of animal metabolism. A focus will be on chemical mechanisms of enzymes and transformations of metabolites. The regulation of the enzymes within metabolic pathways and among metabolic networks within the organism will be discussed.
