GEO 3120 - Tectonic Landscapes 3 Credit(s) | $40.50 Fee
Examination of plate tectonics as the unifying theory of geology and its influence in shaping landscapes over time. Emphasis on Earth’s internal structure, plate boundaries and motion, and large-scale structures. An overnight field excursion will be used to reinforce the significance of tectonics on geologic features. A minimum grade of “C” (2.0 or above) must be earned in this course before it can be counted in a Geosciences major or minor or as a prerequisite for any other course.
