FREN 3512 - History and Culture of Modern France

The course is an overview of the historical and cultural development of France from the ascent of Napoleon Bonaparte to the Fifth Republic and today’s France. Culture and history will be viewed through the lens of several cities, but mostly Paris, a city that has witnessed all major events of the national history. (Fall, Spring, Summer [As Needed]) [Graded (Standard Letter)]

Prerequisite(s): FREN 2020  or FREN 2030  or equivalent - Prerequisite Min. Grade: C-
