LIS 6300 - Reading Engagement and Media Literacy

The course examines when and why information is needed, where to find it, and how to evaluate it, use, and communicate it in an ethical manner. The course teaches the use of literature in the classroom and introduces students to promote reading for learning, personal growth, and enjoyment. The class helps prepare librarians on how to evaluate and select media for appropriate personal, educational, and professional use. (Fall, As Needed) [Graded (Standard Letter)]
