Aviation, A.A.S.

Southern Utah University will provide an Associate of Applied Science degree with two emphases: Rotor-Wing (i.e. helicopter) Pilot and Fixed Wing (i.e. airplane) Pilot. These tracks share a common core of both general education and general aviation courses. Specialized flight labs involving simulators and various aircraft will be housed at the Cedar City Airport. General Education (20-22 Credits)

ENGL 1010 - Intro to Academic Writing 3 credits OR
ENGL 2010 - Intermediate Writing 3 credits
CSIS 1000 - Intro to Computer Applications & the Internet 3 credits
LM 1010 - Information Literacy 1 credits
Any GE class from Humanities Knowledge Area 3 credits
Any GE class from Physical Science Knowledge Area 4-5 credits
Select one of the following:
MATH 1030 - Quantitative Reasoning 4 credits
MATH 1040 - Statistics 4 credits
MATH 1050 - College Algebra 4 credits
MATH 1100 - Applied Calculus 3 credits
