Criminal Justice (Minor)

Program Information

No more than 3 credits of internship (CJ 4890 ) can be counted toward the minor. Up to 12 credits can be counted toward the student’s overall degree total.

CJ 1010 - Introduction to Criminal Justice 3 Credit(s) [GE Social/Behavioral Sciences]

No more than 6 credits of lower-division criminal justice courses (numbered 1000-2999, outside of CJ 1010) may be counted toward the credit requirement for the minor electives.
All CJ classes count as CJ electives.
All CJ minors are encouraged to complete an internship as part of their degree.

Students will recognize the basic legal, constitutional, ethical, and moral challenges confronting criminal justice personnel.
Students will identify the functions, operations, and challenges of the U.S. Criminal Justice System, including law enforcement, courts, and corrections.
