Program Summary
The Cybersecurity Governance and Risk certificate is ideal for IT, cybersecurity, and information assurance practitioners who work in governance and risk roles and have a need to understand, apply, and/or implement a risk management program for IT systems within an organization.
Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C” (2.0) or better to be counted in the program.
- Students must earn a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 to graduate.
Certificate Completion
This certificate program may be completed independently and does not require enrollment in or completion of any degree program to be awarded.

- Identify the fundamental terms used in modern cybersecurity and information assurance.

- Evaluate the key concepts and approaches in governance and risks associated with managing, minimizing, and mitigating cyber breaches.
- Analyze different approaches to project management from cyber security perspectives.
