Program Information

Nursing - RN to BSN Emphasis (B.S.N.)

  • All courses must be passed with a “C” (2.0) or better to be counted in the major.

Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Administration (M.S.N.)

  • Graduate students must complete their program within six (6) years of matriculation.
  • All courses must be passed with a minimum grade of “B-” (2.7) to count in the program. Any failed course (“F” or “UW”) may result in dismissal from the program.
  • Students must earn a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 to graduate. Students who fail to maintain a 3.0 GPA average may be dismissed from the program.

Nursing - RN to BSN Emphasis (B.S.N.)


General Education (0-35 Credits)


An Associate of Science (AS) degree from a Utah State Institution (USHE) satisfies General Education/pre-admission requirements if the degree includes the American Institutions Requirement (see General Education ) and either MATH 1031 - Statistical Reasoning  or MATH 1040 - Statistical Inference . If not, these courses must be taken prior to graduation. All other degree types will be evaluated on an individual basis. Some or all of the General Education classes may need to be completed before students can graduate.

Free Upper-Division Electives (10 Credits)


  • Complete a minimum of 10 credits of upper-division electives (courses numbered 3000-4999). This requirement may be fulfilled by credits earned prior to matriculation the RN to BSN program.

Total Credits, B.S.N. Degree: 30+ (not including transfer courses)


MSN in Leadership and Administration Curriculum (30 Credits)


Total Credits, M.S.N. Degree: 30


Total Credits, B.S.N./M.S.N. Joint Degree: 60+ Credits (not including transfer courses)
