Program Summary
The Business Analytics Minor is designed to provide students with complementary skills in both business and data analytics in preparation for the increasingly data-driven business world. The minor combines courses in computer programming, statistical methods, and managerial decision-making to prepare students for addressing real-world business problems through the analysis of available data.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Be proficient in applying the key methods of data analytics involving classification, regression, and prediction in important business contexts.
- Understand the basics of computer language to code programs and write functions to load and analyze data sets.
- Be proficient in applying and interpreting the essentials of statistics in business and analytics contexts.
- Be able to apply the fundamental methods of Managerial Economics to improve business decision-making and solve business problems.
Program Information
- Students must earn a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 in the minor requirements.
