Program Learning Outcomes

  • Students will demonstrate understanding and ability to apply concepts of scientific methodology and basic understanding of peer-reviewed literature.
  • Students will demonstrate effective oral and written communication appropriate to the discipline.
  • Students will demonstrate an understanding of health science, its language, history, findings, and applications
  • Students will demonstrate knowledge of scientific principles related to health sciences.

  • Any approved GE American Institutions course 3 Credit(s)
  • Any approved GE Fine Arts course 3 Credit(s)
  • Any approved GE Humanities course 3-4 Credit(s)

* CHEM 1110 /CHEM 1115  may substitute for CHEM 1010/1015; however, students should consult with their Student Success Advisor to select the best CHEM course for their needs and interests.

Integrated Health Sciences Specialty (18 Credits)

Total elective credit is determined by General Education courses taken, degree type selected, additional credits earned, and any additional math or other prerequisite courses needed. Please consult your Student Success Advisor for details.

University Credit Upon Completion (30 Credits)


30 University credit hours will be awarded upon completion of the above courses in recognition of the required 930+ hours of technical training, per SBR Policy R473.
