Aviation Maintenance Technician (A.A.S.)

Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will demonstrate an increased recognition and respect for aviation safety, especially in the maintenance environment, between the time they join the program and the time they complete the program.
- At conclusion of the program graduating students will demonstrate maintenance skills and knowledge deemed critical by industry. Students will possess desirable attributes of certified aircraft technicians.
- Students will show evidence that they have acquired skills or knowledge directly related to performing maintenance on both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft.
- Students will satisfy the FAA knowledge and skill requirements to become certified Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.

Associate of Applied Science General Education Requirement (15-16 Credits)
- One course in the English core (either ENGL 1010 or ENGL 2010 )
- A minimum of one course in each of the following categories: Quantitative Literacy (Mathematics) and American Institutions
- One course from either the Humanities or Social and Behavioral Sciences Knowledge Area (minimum of 3 credits)
- One course from one of the remaining five Knowledge Areas (minimum of 3 credits)
