Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will develop critical thinking skills by evaluating political developments individually, through research, and in course discussions.
- Students will develop a general understanding of the theories of politics in one or more of the discipline’s four sub-fields: American Politics, International Relations, Comparative Politics, and/or Political Theory.
Program Information
- No more than six (6) credits of lower-division political science courses may be counted toward the credit requirement for the minor.
Program Prerequisites
The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice strongly recommends that students complete the following courses as part of their General Education requirements, as they are prerequisites for required major courses. Students who do not complete these courses as part of General Education can potentially add additional credits and time to their degree.
