Program Learning Outcomes
- Discuss, orally or in writing, abstract subjects and communicate supporting opinions.
- Critically analyze and interpret cultural artifacts and a wide variety of texts.
- Deliver coherent presentations on a wide variety of topics.
- Be capable of designing lesson plans for language classes (teaching majors).
- Be capable of incorporating culture into lessons (teaching majors).
- Demonstrate knowledge of literary terms, genres, and concepts.
- Narrate and describe in all major time frames, and using level-appropriate vocabulary.
- Read and write about academic and professional topics.
Program Information
- All courses must be passed with a “C-” (1.7) or better to be counted in the minor. (Program prerequisites may have different minimum grade requirements. Please consult your Student Success Advisor for details.)
- GERM 3210 and GERM 3510 may be repeated once for credit in a study abroad context.
- GERM 4640 may also be repeated once for credit (total of 6 credits).
