All Engineering Technology and Construction Management students must earn a “C-” or better in all courses required for the certificate and an overall GPA of at least 2.0.
(Gainful Employment Disclosure)
The Construction Technology Certificate prepares graduates for entry-level work in the field of construction. Graduates typically work on the job site for a probationary period of time before landing an entry-level position performing bidding, estimating, and scheduling, along with other office-type work. The certificate can be used as a stepping stone towards promotions and pay raises for individuals already employed in the construction area. The requirements for the Construction Technology Certificate are integrated into the Construction Technology associate degree for those interested in pursuing a two-year associate degree. The requirements for the two-year associate degree in Construction Technology are integrated into the four-year bachelor degree in Construction Management for those students interested in pursuing a four-year bachelor degree. With proper advising, students who complete a 4-year bachelor degree in Construction Management can graduate with the certificate, associate and bachelor degrees.
