ESL 0939 - Academic Reading - English as a Second Language

This is an advanced ESL course that focuses on the continued development of high-level academic reading skills. Emphasis will be on learning a variety of textbook reading strategies, improving reading speed and comprehension,
learning to better use contextual clues to meaning, and learning to use varied approaches to reading various types of material. Repeatable up to 8 credits. (Fall, Spring, Summer, As needed)

Prerequisite: ESL 0918 or instructor permission
