This course explores the application of psychological principles and techniques to specific situations and problems of aviation. An improved understanding of aviation psychology and human factors will better prepare pilots and other aviation professionals to meet the demands that the aviation field will continue to make. Topics include research methods, aviation physiology, personal abilities and personality traits, education and training, human factors and the design of aviation systems, stress and human reactions, aeronautical decision making, and aviation safety.
