PSY 6510 - Clinical Pre-Practicum 1-3 Credit(s) | $4 per credit Fee
The clinical pre-practicum consists of participation on a vertical team led by a licensed core or adjunct faculty member in the PsyD Program. Students enrolled in the pre-practicum will attend group supervision meetings, shadow assigned clinical cases during the semester, and practice therapy and assessment skills in a simulated clinical environment. The main goals of this course are to (a) help students begin conceptualizing how to provide basic clinical services, (b) ensure that students begin to build a foundation they will ultimately use in their work with clients, and (c) help students develop their ability to provide accept constructive feedback related to their developing clinical efforts.
