The course introduces the student to the structure and functions of the U.S. Health Care System and the policies that guide them. Topics to be covered include an overview of the U.S. Health Care System (private and public sectors), various health care delivery structures, health care workforce and resources, types of health services, financing of health services and health care coverage, quality and process improvement, change management and future trends and challenges facing the industry.
