ENGR 1030 - Computer-Aided Parametric Modeling and Analysis Using Solidworks

3 Credit(s) | $46.50 Fee

This course introduces students to computer-aided design as a form of creative and technical expression. Using SolidWorks, students learn to translate ideas into 3D parametric models, assemblies, and drawings. We discuss how these 3D designs balance function, form, and aesthetics. Emphasizing design intent, the course explores how computer-aided design connects engineering design to artistic creation and the maker movement. Students develop parametric modeling skills while preparing for the Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) exam. (Fall, Spring) [Graded Letter]
