This foundational course utilizes a comprehensive approach to elementary literacy instruction. Methods, materials, and assessments for diverse populations are taught. Teacher candidates will acquire an understanding of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary acquisition and comprehension, and corresponding instructional strategies.
