CHEM 3510 - Biological Chemistry 5 Credit(s) | $50 Fee
This course will cover the three-dimensional structures and stabilities of nucleic acids, proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates, and will introduce the catabolic and anabolic processes of animal metabolism. A focus will be on chemical mechanisms of enzymes and transformations of metabolites. The regulation of the enzymes within metabolic pathways and among metabolic networks within the organism will be discussed. This course will most likely not satisfy the biochemistry requirement for graduate studies in chemistry. (Fall) [Graded (Standard Letter)]
Co-requisite(s): CHEM 3515
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 1610 and BIOL 1615 and CHEM 2320 and CHEM 2325 - Prerequisite Min. Grade: C Registration Restriction(s): None
