EDUC 5705 - Stability and Change in Science 3 Credit(s) | See Department Fee
In this course, designed for K-6 teachers, participants explore a foundational component of Scientific Literacy and Cross Cutting Concept, Stability and Change. Specifically, participants construct explanations and improve them through argumentation as well as analyze data in regards to stability and change in Living Systems, Physical Systems, and Earth Systems. Additionally, participants prepare and enact phenomena-based, three-dimensional science instruction that supports the development of students’ conceptual science understanding and scientific literacy. Participants also consider ways to promote effective and equitable science instruction both in personal practice and in the science education community. This course is intended to be a sequential element in this endorsement. (As Needed) [Graded (Standard Letter)]
