ACCT 4950 - Professionalism in Accounting 0.5 Credit(s)
Accounting majors are encouraged to take this course their junior, Senior, and graduate fall and spring semesters. The course will focus on specific accounting topics that will better prepare the accounting major for entrance into the accounting profession. Each semester, the course will focus on one of the following topics: accounting ethics, SEC and SOX, accounting writing and oral presentation skills, accounting work paper preparation skills, higher-level general ledger analysis skills, or other topics deemed appropriate under the circumstances. Accompanying these academic subjects, the student will be required to attend professional guest speaker events and other professional development activities associated with the Professional Accountancy Club.
