EDUC 6030 - 21st Century Research and Data 3 Credit(s)
This course is the first of three courses culminating in a practitioner research thesis. The candidate will examine the origin and nature of practitioner research, and its relationship with a constructivist research paradigm. That paradigm will be contrasted with the prevailing positivist (experimental) view of research. While exploring the implications of these two paradigms for social science research, the candidate will identify a topic and concern for their individual study, and commence a review of literature (chapter 2). (As Needed) [Pass/Fail]
