Program Learning Outcomes: Aviation Maintenance Technician

Aviation Maintenance Technician (AAS)
- Students will demonstrate an increased recognition and respect for aviation safety, especially in the maintenance environment, between the time they join the program and the time they complete the program.
- At conclusion of the program graduating students will demonstrate maintenance skills and knowledge deemed critical by industry. Students will possess desirable attributes of certified aircraft technicians.
- Students will show evidence that they have acquired skills or knowledge directly related to performing maintenance on both fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft.
- Students will satisfy the FAA knowledge and skill requirements to become certified Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.
- Students that choose the Avionics emphasis will enter the workplace with specialized knowledge in aircraft electrical and computer systems.
AMT Airframe (Certificate)
- Students who complete the certificate program will be eligible to test for the FAA airframe license.
