Introduction to the measurement of distance, direction and elevation using mechanical, optical and electronic equipment. Plane surveying applications in leveling and traversing, measurement corrections and adjustments, area and volume calculations, earthwork, horizontal circular curves, and vertical curves. Utilization of computers and software for data collection, reduction, analysis, and presentation. (Fall)
