MUSC 6340 - Sequencing and Electronic Music

This course presents an advanced study of the history and development of electronic music, synthesis, sampling and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). The course will focus on the history of synthesis, the application of synthesizers in the production of contemporary music, and the use of MIDI in the modern recording studio environment. Prerequisite: Admission into the Master of Music Technology degree program, or permission of instructor.
